Ashby integration

Approx. reading time: 4 minutes

You can connect TestGorilla to your Ashby account, allowing you to invite candidates to an assessment and view their results directly inside Ashby. The Ashby integration is available on the Plus plan and can be enabled by users with Owner or Admin access.

Important: You must be an Organizational Admin in Ashby to complete the setup. You can confirm this by checking whether the Admin tab is visible at the top of your Ashby account. If it is not visible, contact your IT department or Administrator. Ashby does not display who your admin is.

Common questions

Who can set up the Ashby integration?

You need to be an Organizational Admin in Ashby and an Admin or Owner in TestGorilla to complete the setup.

I can't see the Admin tab in Ashby. What should I do?

If the Admin tab is not visible, you are not an Organizational Admin. Contact your IT department or Administrator to request access. Note that Ashby does not display who your admin is.

I forgot to copy my Ashby API Key. What now?

You can only copy the API Key once when it is first created. If you missed it, go back to Ashby, delete the key, create a new one, and then repeat Steps 4 to 6 of the setup.

Can I automatically invite candidates when they reach a stage?

Yes. Use the Automate on Stage Entry setting in the Interview Plan. See the Set up bulk invites section above.

Why aren't my TestGorilla assessments appearing in Ashby?

Make sure the API Key permissions were set correctly in Step 5. Both Api Keys (Read) and Candidates (Write) must be enabled. If the issue persists, contact TestGorilla support.
