Help with anything related to the Plan & billing tab of your account.

TestGorilla offers a Free forever plan and several paid plans, each with different features and usage limits.

This guide details everything found under the Plan & billing tab of your account settings. It reviews things like:

  • how to understand your plan and usage
  • how to find and update your billing details and invoice history

Plan details

Account owners can view current plan details in the app at any time. To do this:

Click your name in the top right corner of your account.
Choose Plan & billing

Your current plan is shown at the top of the page on the left side of the screen, along with the plan renewal date, your current credit amount, and amount of premium seats in use. If you are on a Legacy plan, that information will be stated on this screen. You can find more information about our Legacy plans here.

Note: If you do not see the Plan & billing tab, the most likely explanation is that you are not the account owner. You can learn more about user roles here.

 

Billing cycles

Paid plans (Core and Plus) automatically renew on a yearly basis. The calendar date you started your plan determines the date of your billing cycle. The Free forever plan has no billing cycle. Your 10 credits renew on the 1st of each month automatically. The calendar date that you started your plan determines the date of your billing cycle.

 

There is a single billing cycle to be aware of for our Core and Plus plans:

Annual cycle

Your base plan is automatically renewed each year unless you choose to cancel before the renewal takes place.

Example :
Emily signed up for a Plus plan on August 10th 2023. Her Plus plan will renew on August 10th, 2024.
If she does not want the plan to renew, she will need to downgrade to the Free plan prior to the renewal.

Credit overview

Your TestGorilla plan includes an allocation of credits, which are used to invite and assess candidates or to source new candidates.

How credits renew depends on your plan:

  • Free forever plan: 10 credits per month, renewing on the 1st. No rollover. No top-up. To get more credits sooner, upgrade to Core or Plus.
  • Core and Plus plans: A yearly allocation that renews on your billing anniversary.

    You can view your current credit balance, renewal date, and credit usage report directly from the Plan & billing tab of your account.

If you run low on credits, you can purchase additional credits or enable automatic upgrades to make sure your hiring process continues without interruption. Credit usage and purchasing behavior depend on your plan type (Core or Plus).

Change your plan

The account owner can change plans at any time via the Plan & billing tab. For details about changing or canceling your plan, check out Subscribe to, change, or cancel a plan.

 

Payment and billing

Account owners on paid plans can view billing history, change the billing address, and change the payment method directly from the Plan & billing tab of your account. 

 

Credit usage report

From the Plan & billing tab, click on Generate credit usage report. A new window will open allowing you to select a time frame from the past 365 days, and we'll email the download link once the report is ready. Transactions completed within the last 10 minutes may not yet be reflected in your report. Regenerate the report after a brief delay to ensure the data is current.

 

Billing history

From the Plan & billing tab, click on Billing history. A new window will open allowing you to download your invoices in PDF format.

 

Billing address

From the Plan & billing tab, click on Billing address. A new window will open allowing you to change the billing address used for your account.

Note: An address change will only affect future billings. It will not be retroactively applied to past invoices.

 

Payment method

From the Plan & billing tab, click on Payment method. A new window will open allowing you to change the payment method used for your account.

 

 

Plan questions

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Free forever plan users can upgrade to Core directly in-app, or to Plus in-app or through our Sales team to better align with your evolving needs. You will continue to have access to the features of your initial plan until your subscription finishes. Please note that if you are on a pre-existing Legacy plan, you can only select to upgrade/downgrade to a Free, Core, or Plus plan going forward. Am I charged for account users?
 

No, you're not charged for adding users, but access levels differ by role and plan:

  • You can add unlimited hiring managers to your account at no extra cost.

  • The Free forever plan is a single-user plan. Only the account owner can create and manage assessments and spend credits.

  • On the Core plan, you can have up to 2 premium users (owners, admins, or recruiters).

  • On the Plus plan, there is no limit to the number of premium users you can add.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit card providers, as well as PayPal. If you plan to use PayPal for an upgrade you’ll need to add the details before making the purchase. You can see how to do that here.

Do you offer discounts for non-profits?
Yes — we currently offer discounts for non-profits. Simply send us the relevant tax information declaring your status as a non-profit organization and we'll send you a discount code.
