Overview
This page explains the purpose of our New Hire Retention study and how your input helps us improve the predictive power of TestGorilla evaluations.
We’re asking clients who marked candidates as hired more than 6 months ago to confirm whether those candidates are still working at their organization. With your help, we can better understand how well our evaluations support long-term hiring success.
Why This Study Matters
Employee retention is one of the clearest indicators of hiring quality. If a new hire stays beyond six months, it’s often considered a sign of a good hire — someone who matches the role and the organization well.
Your help enables us to:
- Validate that TestGorilla evaluations support long-term hiring success.
- Provide stronger evidence of the business impact of skills-based hiring.
- Improve evaluation content and distribution.
- Enhance reporting and user experience.
- Develop new skills tests in emerging skill areas.
Data Privacy
- All responses are analyzed in aggregated, anonymized form.
- No personal data about candidates or clients will ever be published or shared.
- Results are used internally only to improve our products and services.
What to Expect
- You’ll be asked whether specific hires are still with your company.
- After confirming, you’ll have the optional opportunity to complete a short survey (about 2 minutes).
- The survey includes multiple-choice, rating, and open-text questions about your experience with TestGorilla.
Common Questions
Will candidate names be published?
No. We never publish or share candidate or client PII. Results are only used in anonymized, aggregated analyses.
Do I have to complete the optional survey?
No. Your Yes/No confirmation is already helpful. We’d greatly appreciate your participation to the survey.
Why 6+ months?
Six months is a widely recognized milestone in HR: employees who remain beyond this point are usually considered good hires. We only ask about candidates flagged as hired more than 6 months ago.
