Downloading assessment and candidate results
You can download two types of reports: Assessment results (a bird's-eye view of all candidates) and Candidate results (a deep dive into one specific person).
| 💡 Tip: Results are available in CSV, XLSX, or PDF formats. While spreadsheet files are great for data analysis, PDF downloads are exclusive to the Core and Plus plans and offer a more visual layout. |

Sharing results
Once candidates complete an assessment, you can share their results with both internal stakeholders and the candidates themselves to keep your hiring process moving forward.
Sharing results with colleagues
You can share downloaded files with team members via email, Slack, or your preferred internal tool. Recipients do not need a TestGorilla account to view the files.
Important considerations:
Snapshots: PDF downloads only show one snapshot. To view the full gallery of candidate snapshots, users must log in to the TestGorilla platform.
Video/File Uploads: For security and privacy, video responses and uploaded files can only be viewed within the app.
Scoring Benchmarks: The data in your download reflects the Scoring benchmark active at the time of the download.
| 💡 Tip: If a colleague needs to view video answers, an Admin must add them as a user to your account. |
Sharing results with candidates
Sharing results with candidates helps build a transparent brand and reduces the need for manual feedback requests.
For all new accounts across all plans, this setting is permanently active. To ensure transparency and provide candidates with a verified proof of their skills, the toggle has been removed from the UI. Candidates will always be able to view and leverage scores within their English-language profiles.
If your organization requires candidates to be prevented from viewing results for compliance or high-stakes testing, please contact your Sales representative or Customer Success Manager for manual configuration options.
For Existing Customers
If your account was created before April 3, 2026, your current experience remains unchanged for now:
- Core Plans: The setting is visible in your assessment settings and is set to "True" by default. This cannot be toggled off.
- Plus Plans: The setting is visible and can be toggled on or off depending on your specific hiring requirements.
Manual results sharing
You can also manually share a simplified version of the results from the app. ➡️ Learn more: Managing candidates.
While we aim to provide this transparency for everyone, there are currently a few nuances to keep in mind regarding language support and specific organizational needs:
Language support: Since the Skills Profile app is currently English-only, the "Show results" setting is hidden and disabled for assessments conducted in other languages. Candidates taking non-English assessments won't see these scores in their profiles for the time being.
Customizing visibility: We’re big believers in empowering candidates with their data to help them bypass the "black box" of hiring. However, we know enterprise requirements can vary. If your organization has a specific need to prevent results from being visible to candidates, just reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our Support Team to discuss how we can help.
Note: Showing results helps candidates bypass the "Black Box" of automated rejection by giving them a verified record of their potential.
