What are TestGorilla Analytics?
TestGorilla Analytics feature provides real-time insights into every stage of your hiring process—right from your dashboard. You can analyze everything in-platform, and when you need offline reporting, use Bulk export to download results from multiple assessments at once.
With Analytics, you can easily track:

Candidate funnel progress: See how candidates are moving through your hiring pipeline.

Assessment performance: Identify which assessments are most effective.

Drop-off points: Understand where candidates are exiting the process—and why.

Test completion stats: Review score distributions and average time-to-complete per test.

Impact of qualifying questions: Measure how screening questions influence candidate progression.
This feature gives you actionable data to optimize your hiring process quickly and confidently—all within the TestGorilla platform.
Getting started
To get started with TestGorilla Analytics, simply navigate to the Analytics tab located at the top of your account dashboard. You’ll be taken directly to your analytics overview.
From there, you will be able to start filtering your analytic data. These filters include:
- Job creation - when the job was created
- Job name
- Job role
- Created by - team member who created the assessment
- Candidate invitation method - via customer invitation or public link
- Candidate type - internal or external
- Candidate invitation date
- Candidate completion date
| Note: TestGorilla Analytics data updates every 24 hours. You’ll only see assessments you have access to, and exports respect those permissions. |
Funnel analytics
The Funnel analytics section provides a breakdown of the evaluation funnel, with a graph and statistics showing the drop off between Invites → Opens → Starts → Completions, enabling you to pinpoint where candidates exit the funnel and make improvements to boost completion rates.
Filter through the funnel by job or by test, giving you feedback on where the biggest drop-offs are in the candidate journey.

Tip: Depending on the point in the evaluation funnel, there may be different factors at play accounting for drop offs.

Score analytics
The Score analytics section provides a breakdown of the distribution of candidate scores, with averages across all candidates, rejected candidates, and hired candidates.
Filter average scores by assessment and average scores by test. Identify lengthy assessments and remove or shorten tests to keep candidates engaged, and evaluate performance perform across job roles to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

Tip: Average scores can give you a lot of insight into your assessments.

Your hires
The Your hires section includes the following statistics:
- Total number of candidates invited
- Total number of candidates assessed
- Total number of candidates rejected
- Total number of candidates hired
Below that, you will find a filterable table of candidates that have been marked as Hired.

Job-level dashboard
In addition to the account-level dashboard, you can access detailed analytics for individual assessments. Simply open the desired job and click on the Analytics tab within the job overview to view performance data specific to that assessment.
Within the Analytics tab, you can apply filters to narrow down candidate data and view insights specific to the selected assessment, including the Evaluation funnel and Score analytics.
From the assessment dashboard, you can also review the performance and impact of any qualifying questions included in the assessment.
Bulk export
Bulk export lets you view and download results from multiple assessments at once, directly from the Analytics tab. The export table includes nearly the same data fields as the CSV/Excel downloads available inside individual assessments, and you can filter and customize the table to include only what you need.
Common questions
Can I export my TestGorilla Analytics data?
Yes! To export your data, simply click on the Export button in the top right of the Analytics tab and choose between a PDF, PNG, and Excel download.
To bulk export, go to Analytics → Bulk export, filter the table, then export to CSV or Excel. This is best for offline analytics across many assessments.
How often is Analytics data updated?
Analytics data is refreshed every 24 hours.
How can I reduce candidate drop-off rates?
Use funnel insights to pinpoint issues, such as unclear email subject lines, overwhelming intro screens, or lengthy assessments, and make targeted improvements.
Can I view analytics for individual assessments?
Yes. Open the corresponding job and click the Analytics tab to see assessment-specific data.
Can I receive a personalized report?
