1. Custom Conversational AI Video Interviews

What's new?

You can now build your own Conversational AI video interviews. Write your own questions and define how the AI evaluates responses rather than picking from the TestGorilla library.

Why it matters

  • Tailor AI interviews to the exact skills and seniority of the role.

  • Keep the scale of AI-led screening without losing role fit.

  • Mix library and custom interviews in the same assessment.

2. AI Video Interviews: more access, previews, and multilingual avatar

What's new?

Three updates to AI video interviews:

  • One-way AI video interviews are now available on the Core plan. Core customers can add them to any assessment at no extra cost.

  • You can preview the exact questions any library interview will ask, straight from the library browser.

  • Custom AI interviews now use a new voice that can switch (if needed) between English, Spanish, and several other languages within the same interview.

Why it matters

  • More plans get access to AI-led screening out of the box.

  • Question previews remove the guesswork before adding an interview to an assessment.

  • Multilingual support works for global and mixed-language hiring.

3. Qualifying Questions as an evaluation tool 

What's new?

Qualifying Questions have moved from assessment settings to step 2 of the assessment builder, next to your other evaluation tools. They are also visible in the Assessment tools tab.

Why it matters

  • Easier to find and add when building an assessment.

  • Free on all plans. No credits consumed.

  • Screen out candidates who don't meet must-have criteria before they start.

4. Stronger anti-cheating signals 

What's new?

Two updates to how candidate behavior is shown:

  • In essay questions, we now track when a candidate pastes content and show exactly what they pasted on the results page.

  • The behavior monitor on the Candidate Results page now splits flags into two groups: those that factor into the behavior tier, and those that are informational only.

Why it matters

  • Spot AI-assisted responses in essay answers at a glance.

  • See exactly why a candidate landed in a given behavior tier.

  • Focus on the flags that change your hiring decision.

5. Edit active jobs without starting over 

What's new?

You can now update the description, salary, work arrangement, and location of a job from the Job Details tab, even after candidates have been invited.

Why it matters

  • Reflect changes to a role without recreating the job.

  • Fewer duplicate jobs on your overview.

6. The new Jobs Overview page 

What's new?

We have updated the Jobs overview page. All your jobs live in a single table, built around jobs rather than individual assessments, with richer columns, smarter filters, and a cleaner layout.

Why it matters

  • One view of every job in your account.

  • Richer columns make prioritization easier.

  • Smarter filters cut time spent hunting for a specific role.

7. Redesigned candidate cards in Sourcing 

What's new?

Candidate cards in Sourcing results are now compact and scannable. Each card shows skills, test scores, recent experience, and an AI summary at a glance. Expand any card inline to see richer experience details without leaving the results page.

Why it matters

  • Faster scanning of large candidate lists.

  • Inline expand keeps you on the results page.

  • Smoother loading across the Sourcing experience.

8. Improved TeamTailor integration 

What's new?

TestGorilla now has an improved integration with TeamTailor. Push candidates and assessment results into TeamTailor without leaving your workflow.

Why it matters

  • TestGorilla results flow into your ATS of record.

  • One less manual step between screening and hiring decisions.

  • More ATS integrations coming soon.

9. An expanded test library 

What's new?

Over 100 new tests are now in the skill tests library, including a fresh batch of coding and technical skills tests.

We also added:

  • 5 new AI video interviews covering gaps in the library.

  • An updated Machine Learning test.

  • A new Diversity and Inclusion Multimedia test, with text and video questions, aimed at HR, People & Culture, and people manager roles.

Why it matters

  • More coverage for technical and coding roles.

  • New AI-era tests and interviews for modern skills.

  • A richer library makes assessment creation faster across more role types.

10. Small improvements you'll notice ✨

What's new?

A few quality-of-life updates:

  • ATS result links now open the full Candidate Results Page, not just the Candidates tab list.

  • The Honesty Agreement page is simpler for candidates. A single checkbox instead of typing their full name.

  • The video question upload fallback is now always available, so candidates can record offline and upload if the in-app recorder has issues.

Why it matters

  • Less friction between the ATS, TestGorilla, and your review workflow.

  • Higher assessment completion rates on the honesty step.

  • Fewer stuck candidates on video questions.
