1. AI job builder 💼

What’s new?

The AI Job Builder fundamentally changes how customers create assessments. Powered by TestGorilla’s AI, it automatically recommends the right mix of skills tests, custom questions, and AI interviews based on the job description provided.

Why it matters

  • Simplifies job-specific assessment creation with intelligent, data-driven recommendations.

  • Helps create consistent, scientifically grounded assessments, reducing personal bias in assessment creation.

  • Enables recruiters to design balanced assessments that evaluate both hard and soft skills effectively.

2. Conversational AI video interviews 🤖

What’s new?

Conversational AI video interviews are now live. This new evaluation tool allows customers to run live, two-way AI interviews that replicate the depth of a real screening call while keeping structure, fairness, and speed.

Each interview is:

  • Live and interactive: The candidate speaks with an AI interviewer via audio and video.

  • Structured: Each interview follows a standardized, job-relevant set of 3–10 questions.

  • Scored automatically: Every interview generates transparent, rubric-based scores and a transcript for review.

Why it matters

  • Provides a scalable way to screen for behavioral and role-specific skills in depth.

  • Saves recruiter time from screening calls, while keeping consistency and fairness.

  • Delivers richer insights than scripted one-way interviews or manual screening calls.

  • Ensures transparency with editable, explainable AI scoring aligned with human oversight.

3. Candidate results page 🧾

What’s new?

We’ve launched a new, modernized candidate results page, featuring:

  • A more prominent candidate profile card.
  • A unified results tab for each evaluation tool—Skills tests, custom questions, AI interviews, and soon, AI resume scoring.

Why it matters

  • Highlights rich candidate insights upfront, helping recruiter decision-making.
  • Simplifies navigation, reducing the time it takes to compare results.

4. New filters in analytics dashboard 📊

What’s new?

The analytics dashboard now includes two new filters:

  • candidate invitation date
  • candidate completion date

We’ve also re-organized the layout: assessment-related filters are now on the top row, and candidate-related filters are below.

Why it matters

  • Helps recruiters analyze pipeline progress and conversion trends more precisely.
  • Helps recruiters easily visualize and explore detailed reporting use cases.
  • Improves usability by grouping filters logically for faster insights.

5. Improved cheating prevention: AI Agents banned from test flow 🛡️

What’s new?

Known browser agents, including ChatGPT Agent Mode and similar automated browsers, are blocked before any test content loads. When detected, users see a localized message explaining that AI tools are not permitted.

Why it matters

  • Invisible to genuine candidates: real people using a normal browser won’t notice anything; only AI/browser agents are stopped.
  • Closes a fast-growing loophole: ChatGPT Agent Mode is rapidly expanding and can automatically navigate sites, but it cannot handle our assessment flow. Blocking it (and comparable agents) keeps us ahead of the curve.
  • Establishes a foundation for future anti-cheating enhancements.

6. Faster loading for candidate results ⚡

What’s new?

The Candidates results tab now loads up to 50% faster. This upgrade improves responsiveness and significantly reduces delays when browsing assessments with many candidates.

Why it matters

  • Improves performance for users managing high volumes of candidates.

  • Resolves one of the most frequently reported speed-related issues.

  • Enables recruiters to review results and move between candidates more efficiently.

  • Reduces waiting times, making everyday workflows smoother and more productive

What’s coming up? 🚀

Next month, we’ll continue enhancing the AI evaluation suite with:

  • AI resume scoring: Scores resumes by role fit, with transparent reasoning and percentile-based results.
  • ID verification: Confirm every candidate’s identity before they begin. Fast, reliable, and privacy-first.
  • Trust layer: Built-in integrity system combining ID checks and behavior monitoring to keep every assessment fair, defensible, and candidate-friendly.

Stay tuned for more exciting releases!
