Release notes, November 2023

New in: Hire developers with precision and speed using language-agnostic tests. 1 test, 20 languages.

November 2, 2023

Test real algorithmic thinking skills

We’ve updated our programming tests. You can now include up to 20 different languages for candidates to choose from and test their real algorithmic thinking skills. The experience is more enjoyable for candidates and simpler for recruiters - a win-win situation!

Super easy to set up

1-1 Create an assessment and include a language agnostic programming test.
2 Choose the languages in which you want to enable the candidate to take the test in.

3 Finish the assessment and share it with your candidates. Are you ready to find the engineer you’ve been looking for?
4 See how your candidates worked through the challenge with our timeline feature. You can track key events, such as when test-takers switched languages or pasted content from other windows.
5 Get candidate results and reports in your dashboard. Use these insights to make more accurate and successful hiring decisions.

An experience candidates enjoy

Taking control: The ability to decide the language of the assessment will boost candidates’ confidence and help them perform better in the assessment.

A platform for success: We provide practice questions and onboarding tooltips for candidates so they can prepare for the challenge ahead.

Personalized coding environment: We’ve included a configurable IDE (integrated development environment), so candidates can set up their workstations to match their unique needs. They can now personalize the color theme, window size, screen size and font size.

New in: Weighted scores to calibrate candidates’ results to your needs.

November 21, 2023

To recruit the best talent, you need to understand your candidates' true potential. The new weighted scores allow personalizing the impact each of the tests has in the final score. This will enable you to:

  • Prioritize key skills, by giving more importance to specific skills or qualities crucial for a role.
  • Customize evaluations, tailoring assessments to your unique hiring needs by adjusting weightage based on your criteria.
  • Enhance decision-making, as weighted scores provide a clearer and more accurate representation of a candidate's suitability for the role.

Easy to enable and disable

1-1 Create an assessment and add at least 2 tests from the 400+ available in the library that have an impact on the average score.
2 Access the assessment dashboard and look for the “Edit test weights” or “Set tests weights” options.
3 From here, you’ll be able to set weights for each test according to how important they are in the recruitment process.
4 Once you’ve decided on the weight you want to give to each test, you’ll see that the existing scoring for candidates will vary according to the update.
5

If you no longer want to use weighted scores, easily disable the option in the assessment dashboard, and scores will reset to their default mode.
