We’ve been working hard to improve our free plan, and we have some big updates on the horizon! These updates will introduce a new free plan that is designed to add ongoing value to your hiring process from day one by creating an assessment that will provide valuable insights to your candidates, regardless of the role you are recruiting for.
These changes will be released in 2 updates. The first update is scheduled for early December, and the second update is scheduled for early January.
Update 1 - Early December
The first updates will roll out in early December. We will keep you informed closer to the time through email and in-app notifications.
The essential skills template
The biggest change to the free plan is the introduction of the Essential Skills Template. This assessment template comprises a set of tests that evaluate widely applicable and highly sought-after skills. It has been designed to provide value across a diverse range of job roles and industries.
We are changing the selection of tests available for use on the free plan. The new free tests will make up the Essential Skills Template. These tests will be the following:
Free versions of the following tests:
The following tests will no longer be free-to-use:
We will be adding qualifying questions to the free plan. Save time for you and your candidates by using qualifying questions to ensure that all your candidates meet any specific requirements you might have.
Testing premium features
In order to protect the integrity of our tests, we will be removing the ability to test premium features internally.
If you would like to explore premium features, we have introduced a 15-day trial that is eligible for companies that have more than 50 employees.
Number of team members
We’re removing the limit on the number of team members. On the new free plan, you can have as many team members as you like.
Custom questions will be temporarily unavailable on the free plan while we implement changes to how custom questions are used on the free plan. Custom questions will be re-introduced in Update 2.
Update 2 - Early January
The second update will roll out in early January. We will keep you updated closer to the time through email and in-app notifications.
Custom questions will be re-introduced to the free plan. You will be able to select up to five custom questions to add to your assessment from a list of custom questions that we have created.
The custom questions that will be available are
Essay Question: Tell us about yourself, what attracts you to this opportunity, and why you are a great candidate for this role.
Essay Question: Describe a time when you identified a personal weakness at work and took steps to improve it.
Essay Question: Describe a time when you worked collaboratively as part of a team to achieve a common goal at work.
Essay Question: Please provide a link to your LinkedIn profile.
File-upload question: Please feel welcome to upload your resume/CV or portfolio (if you have one).
Special note for active assessments
For Free Plan Users: If you're utilizing our free plan and have active assessments with invited candidates that include features and tests no longer available in the updated free plan, here's what you should be aware of:
After Update 1: You'll still have access to assessment results, but inviting new candidates won't be possible.
After Update 2: Access to these assessments will be discontinued.
For Legacy Plan Users: If you're on a legacy plan (utilizing assessment or candidate credits) and have an active assessment with only free features or tests, here's your course of action:
After Update 1: You'll maintain access to historical results, and previously invited candidates can still take the assessment without consuming credits. However, inviting new candidates won't be supported. To keep your hiring process, clone the assessments.
After Update 2: New candidates won't be able to take the assessment.
