Creating a TestGorilla Profile
You will be redirected to the TestGorilla Profile page upon completing your assessment.
Add your information on the next page and follow the on-screen instructions to create your account.
Note: Use the email address you used to register for the assessment. Your assessment results are linked to your email address. |
And you’re done! You can now log in to have an overview of your results and the status of any of your past and current assessments.
Analyzing your results
Opening a completed assessment gives you access to the raw score results of your assessment. This raw score represents the percentage of correct answers you got on the test. In assessing talent, employers may choose to put this score in context by comparing it to a relevant benchmark group based on educational attainment, job function, or other relevant characteristics. Click here to learn more about TestGorilla's scoring methods.
Note: You are not able to review exact questions and answers. Keep in mind that these are just raw results and do not reflect any decisions made by the employer. |
Here’s a breakdown of what you can see in each area:
Area: Tests
- Name - this is the name of the test. You can look up the test in our TestGorilla library to read more about it.
- Time taken - refers to the time it took you to complete the tests within the general allotted time.
- Percentage score - the percentage of questions you answered correctly per test.
Clicking on the name of the test will open the drop-down, which contains the following sections:
- Skill areas - specific domains the test questions were targeting.
- Answered - how many questions in that skill area you completed.
Area: Personality and preferences
- Name - this is the name of the test. You can look up the test in the TestGorilla library to read more about it.
- Time taken - refers to the time it took you to complete the tests within the general allotted time.
- Your results on each of the tested sections
- Full report - this gives you access to a more thorough description of what your personality results indicate.
Note: If you’ve previously taken personality tests and your results differ from what you got in the assessment, don’t stress! External factors can affect the answers you select, so taking a personality test in your free time versus taking one for a possible job may result in different answers. But, the answers still reflect your personality. |
Area: Custom questions
- Name - this is the name of the question. You can look up the question in our TestGorilla library to read more about it.
- Type - what format the question was asked in.
- Time taken - refers to the time it took you to complete the question.
- Answered? - shows a checkmark if you submitted an answer.
Starting/resuming an assessment
In addition to being able to view the results of your assessments, you are able to review any and all assessments you’ve had interactions with. For example, if you are invited to an assessment and take a break, you can also use the TestGorilla Profile interface to pick up where you left off.
- Once logged in, locate the assessment with the Invited status and click on it.
- In the assessment overview, click on the Start assessment button, and you will be able to start taking the remaining tests easily.
Taking the assessment will continue in the same way, meaning it will open in a separate window, and the results will be sent to the company whose job you are applying for once you complete it.
What’s next?
While you do have access to your results, it's important to remember that this doesn't guarantee your advancement in the hiring process. You also can’t compare your results to those of other candidates in order to protect the privacy of other candidates and allow the company to make fair decisions.
At TestGorilla, we firmly believe that accessing your scores is valuable! These scores can serve as tools designed to highlight your strengths and areas of potential development. Still, please keep in mind that achieving a certain score doesn’t signify anything unless the company you applied to made you aware of that. For example, while you might have a high score on a test, there may have been candidates with even higher scores.
We acknowledge that it can be disappointing if your scores don't perfectly align with the expectations of a particular employer. However, your results may reveal some hidden gems: skills you can be proud of, personality traits you weren’t aware of, or valuable insights into areas for personal growth. Our platform isn't just a tool for companies; it's also a resource for you to assess your skills and identify areas where you can improve and grow!
Common questions
I had technical difficulties.
Please contact our support team to investigate further and instruct you on the next steps.
I don’t agree with the results.
The scores you are presented with are calculated based on the answers you gave in the individual tests of the assessment. If you believe there’s been a mistake, feel free to contact us to investigate further, or the employer to request a retake. Please note that hiring decisions are at the employer's discretion, and any decisions lie solely with them.
I can’t see my results.
The employer may have disabled automatically directing you to the TestGorilla Profile login page upon completion of the assessment. The decision is made at the employer's discretion, but you can still access your results by logging into your existing TestGorilla Profile.
I don’t have access to the assessment.
This is something in the control of the company you applied to. It could be that they have already closed their assessment. You will need to contact the employer, as TestGorilla cannot make the assessment available if a company has chosen to take it offline.
